My "hard crop-fix" don't work after latest update

Question

Posted · Report post

Hi all,

Since the new update, that was awesome, i'll got problem with removal of hard-crop-fix as seen below, it did work in the previous version but not any more, any ideas what to do to make this work again?

The fix in my child-themes function.php:

add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );
add_image_size( 'aspect-thumb', 900, 600, true );
add_image_size( 'basic-thumb', 400, 400, true );
add_image_size( 'landscape-thumb', 900, '', true );

Regards, John Olsson

This code below is in my child-theme function.php and in the previous version of DMS, before the big update to 1.1 this worked fine, but this doesen't work anymore.

Screen1.png

Now I must change it in the main core-files, and that's a big NO-NO OFC! :)

....cause the code above doesen't seems to take effect, u understand now? :)

And basically, i'll just removing the hard crop from featured images with the single quotes.. ''

That block of code is run during the after_setup_theme wordpress action:

Use a similar function making sure you use a later priorty, like 11 etc.

Yes but you have to wrap it in a function/action that will run after the one in dms core.

Yep, sry it was solved by putting the code in my child-themes function.php.

Very much thank U! :)

add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'my_custom_sizes', 11 );
function my_custom_sizes(){
    add_image_size( 'aspect-thumb', 900, 600, true );
    add_image_size( 'basic-thumb', 400, 400, true );
    add_image_size( 'landscape-thumb', 900, '', true );

There is a Mark Solved button, I'm just not sure you're able to click it/see it.

Well its not an issue, its our support teams job to identify the correct answer and mark the topic resolved, not the user. However, thank you for asking.
