After updating DMS to 1.1.1 the editor is stuck on "Loading". Deactivating each plugin it appears the issue is with Hero Nav.

Can you please take a look.

Thanks.

@hibbsy78, @onlyamd4000

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I'm looking into it.

Any JS errors in the console or PHP errors showing up? (make sure you have WP_DEBUG on)  Please check and let me know.

Edit:  So far no luck reproducing the issue. Here's what I'm doing:

  • Add Hero Nav to header and setup with a menu
  • Load up editor again

Can either of you elaborate on how this can be reproduced?

One thing is for certain, we both have fixed bars.  I know I have the search feature enabled for the bar but it has never worked in fixed mode.

I'm getting this error when Hero Nav is enabled, otherwise all is well.

  1. Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'flexslider' (index):291
    1. (anonymous function)(index):291
    2. x.event.dispatchjquery-2.0.3.js:4676
    3. y.handle

Dunno if it pertains to the issue or not.

Evan

I am getting the same. I have the Hero Nav nailed to the top  , and are getting the below error , <!-- QuickSlider | Section Head --> is line 42 on my install.

I get this with only the Hero Nav enabled, if i disable it everything else works fine.

<!-- QuickSlider | Section Head -->
<script>
jQuery(window).load(function() {
var theSlider = jQuery('.section-quickslider[data-clone="4hoes8"] .flexslider');
theSlider.flexslider({

UNCAUGHT TYPE ERROR: Object [object Object] has no method 'flexslider'

controlsContainer: '.fs-nav-container',
animation: 'fade',
slideDirection: 'horizontal',
slideshow: false,
directionNav: true,
controlNav: true });
});
</script>

This appears to be an issue with the QuickSlider.  All errors indicate QS, but there must be a conflict of some kind if disabling Hero Nav resolves the issue.

Strange.  I am still unable to reproduce this locally.

If anyone has this on a staging site and is willing to share a login with me, I would be happy to take a look at this on a live site.  Just PM me credentials with a link to your site and I will see if I can figure it out.

Keep in mind I would need admin permissions to use the dms editor.

Otherwise I need a lot more information about the configuration that is producing this.

I did a bit more testing and it seems that if I add more than 3 pictures to Quickslider I lose my Hero Nav bar completely after I publish the changes.  There were definite updates done to quickslider.  The whole interface looks redone.  Evan, please try to add more than 3 pics to quickslider.

Evan

I have removed the Quickslider content , and I don't get a java error now , however the DMS still does not load , and just displays the loading circle.

From that , I have looked at my logs and are now getting a PHP error. Having looked at the admin/ folder and since the upgrade there is only 5 files that reside in there now and class.options.engine.php is not present.

.require-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ../dms/wp-content/plugins/hero-nav/sections/hero-nav/section.php on line 363

Really stuck with this now!

Screen shot shows that Hero Nav is just a little drop down option in the to corner of the page. I've had to add the Standard Nav Bar as the site is LIVE!

Thanks...

Claire you need to copy the new files you have downloaded into your Hero Nav plugins folder.
