Hi all

I am doing some work on our site ATM but rather that doing this on the live site have opted to clone it and install on my local machine.

Am running MAMP, have install WP, copied over the database, all plugins etc...

When I ran open the site locally everything was missing :0 however have most setting configured now. The problem is that all the Features, Banners and Boxes that were on the live site are no where to be found. All the images are in the media library. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance

Keith

Hi @

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

- You'll want to make sure you export all of the Framework settings as well. Navigate to the PageLines on the Dashboard - Import-Export and then click on the Export Settings File. Follow a similar path to import the settings and you should be all set.

Got to mark it as unsolved I'm afraid.  Didn't work!

What I did was:

Installed MAMP on local machine

Created the database (with same name as live site) and imported the live version of this.

Changed the URL in the option table after I ensured that the username was granted privileges.

Did a fresh install of wordpress and linked to the database. Copied the wp-content folder from the live site into the new WP install.

Imported the wordpress XML file

Activated the Pagelines Framework theme

Imported the pagelines data file from the original site.

Result is all pages are available, blog posts etc... No features, banners, boxes, custom css etc...

To make a copy of your live site to a local site, all you need to do is:

1. Install an app such as MAMP

2. Create a database, install Wordpress

3. Install PageLines Framework or any DMS etc..

4. Goto your Live site and export both your Wordpress content and theme settings

5. Now go to your local site, import both your WP content and theme settings

6. The site should be a duplicate of your live site.
