Add vimeo videos to Features

Question

Posted · Report post

Dear Pagelines Team,

I want to create a website with a portfolio of the films I made.

As "Portfolio" Page I use a template with the "Features" inside.

My Problem: The Video should fill the right part of the feature box not just a bit.

Remember to include as much information about your technical issue as possible for example:
Website URL: http://imagefilmproduktion.com/portfolio/ (see Projekt 2 in the Features)
Framework Version: 2.4.4
WordPress Version: 3.6.1.
Plugins in Use: Exclude Pages, WIdget LOgic
Server/Host: webspace
Screenshots: attached
Details:

Now it looks like this: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2P2Kbg4kca2amVVMHpRaXdVa1U/edit?usp=sharing

But it should look like this (Mockup): https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2P2Kbg4kca2eF9GdzZVMWgtY3M/edit?usp=sharing

best wishes

Max

Hello Martin,

I put this in the Feature HTML:

<iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/76553135?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0&amp;color=ff9933" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>

Hi there, don't add the via the iframe method, use the old embed code option when selecting the share options from youtube. This should give you an embed code using the <object> tag.

Hello James,

I use vimeo for the videos - They also offer an "old embed code" so I tried this one:

<!-- Diese Version des eingebetteten Codes wird nicht länger unterstützt. Erfahre mehr unter: https://vimeo.com/help/faq/embedding --> <object width="700" height="394"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=76553135&amp;force_embed=1&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=0&amp;show_byline=0&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=ffffff&amp;fullscreen=1&amp;autoplay=0&amp;loop=0" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=76553135&amp;force_embed=1&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=0&amp;show_byline=0&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=ffffff&amp;fullscreen=1&amp;autoplay=0&amp;loop=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="700" height="394"></embed></object>

It still looks the same :(

The old embed code is working for me - http://d.pr/i/29gy

Therefore, it is may be related to custom scripts or plugins you have, try removing them all and see if this resolves your issue.

Hi there,

I've just checked your site and see three slides, one with the old embed code, one full width and one with the small video. The one labelled old embed shows like this - http://screencast.com/t/rQpAw5UhVo0Q

Hi James,

thanks for the info.

I opened the site with different browsers:

Chrome 30 = doesn't work (looks like on the screenshots I posted above)

Safari 6.0.5 = works correctly

FIreworks 24 = works correctly

So is it actually a browser bug? Is there a way to fix it for Chrome?

Thank you!
Max

Hi,

Hmm not sure as to why it is doing that. However, it is happening on all browsers for me.

Try adding this to your custom code.

#site .fmedia-pad {
height: 94%;
}
