I feel like a complete idiot. I have some basic HTML/CSS/PHP background but I'm by no means an expert.

I want to get rid of the Masthead text with the "display:none" attribute, but I can't find the CSS anywhere. I installed the "Pagelines Customize" plug-in but the style.css is empty and I can't find the masthead CSS anywhere.

Thanks!

Hi Aaron,

The Customize plugin style.css file is empty as its sole purpose is for you to add your own custom CSS. If you want to use display: none on any element, you will first need to target the elements class and then add the display property and none declaration.

For example:

#site .masthead h1, .masthead p {
display: none;
}

Add this code to your customize plugins style.css file and this will remove the Masthead title and paragraph text.

For more assistance in overriding default CSS, see our documentation here - http://docs.pageline...ing-default-css

Wow!!! Okay, I'm slowly starting to understand. Now I'm trying to make the spacing smaller between the masthead image and the Boxes below.

#site .masthead h1, .masthead p {
display: none;
}

#site .masthead {
    margin-bottom: 0;
    position: relative;
}
#site .masthead .inner {
    padding-top: 0;
}

.content .content-pad {
padding: 0px;

I tried the above code, and it reduced the spacing a little, but it's still not quite tight enough. I see that the element I want to change might be "content-pad" but I can't figure out how to reduce the size properly?

Thanks so much for getting me this far!!!
