Twitter widget

twitter

Keith,

Framework's Morefoot has had some issues with Javascript for a long time.  I tried adding the code for Google AdSense and other ad systems there a while ago and it made havoc with my site.  I never did find out why the Morefoot reacts so badly.  Keep in mind, the AdSense code isn't the actual Javascript, but just a call to it -- the script itself being fed by Google, not locally.

I was able to make the Twitter Timelines work in my sidebar, if that helps.  https://dev.twitter....edded-timelines

It was easy, efficient and customizable. You may want to consider that option.

Hi All

I am trying to implement a twitter widget using the twitter code in a morefoot section on www.magva.com

It should be appearing in the middle widget but as you will see, it appears during the loading and then disappears again.

Anyone any ideas on why this might be?

The only custom CSS I have for the morefoot section is:

This is the code that I am getting from the twitter site:

Think I have an answer to this one. I have the twitter widget working on another site hence I don't think its a code issue.

Q> Does the morefoot section allow a widget such as the twitter widget? Might there be a coding conflict?

Thanks

OK, you shouldn't add Javascript anywhere on your page. All javascript should be added to:

Wordpress Admin Dashboard > PageLines > Site Options > Custom Code > Header Scripts or Footer Scripts.

So the <a> link of your code should be added to the TextWidget and the javascript should be added to the settings above.

The Widget appears while the page loads but then disappears.

I think I'll abandon this method for the moment. Have an alternative that might work.

You must have some other script or plugin causing the issue, the code works perfectly for me.

Thanks Danny. Will have to do some digging if I opt to use it later. It might have something to do with the colour fill I am using in the footer.

Thanks Rob

Yea I managed to get them in another site in the sidebars with no trouble.

Ultimately I opted to use a plugin (DW twitter) to get the functionality in the morefoot section. Has worked with no issues.

Would have preferred to use the twitter code though.
