removing comments from the Author Avatar Mode

Question

Configuring the full width post metabar with the shortcodes works fine when I want to strip out comments but I'd prefer to use the Author Avatar Mode. However, I can't see how to suppress comments - what's the trick here?

The Meta info in the PostLoop options is for the Metabar mode, if you want to customize the Avatar mode, you will want to use the code Simon provided above and add the shortcodes.

Hi nfp1900 - I think you may have brought a bug to our attention. I've just tested it and it does appear the custom meta is not applying when in Author Avatar. I'll let the developers know right away. In the meantime, you can hide the comments via CSS as follows:

.article-wrap .author-tag .tag-comments {display: none;}

1.1 has new 'action' example:

add_action( 'pl_get_author_tag', function() { echo '<p>[post_date]</p>'; } );

Has this issue been fixed? I'm trying to use Author Avatar Mode in the base DMS theme and nothing seems to change what's appearing in the meta information. It keeps showing the full meta information (author, date, category, comments).

Hi Danny

1) Where is the code that Simon provided added exactly?

2) How would I make the Meta Info appear like it does on the Page Lines Blog:

http://www.pagelines.com/blog/

where the author avatar and lets say comments are on the left of the featured image and the date & post category is below the featured image but  before the text excerpt?

Thanks
