Can't understand ho to create different pages views using DMS sections

Question

Posted · Report post

Hi,

at first: DMS is beautiful!

Sorry for that question (and for my English as well), but really I cannot understand how to create pages...
I'll try to explain:if I add a section in "PAGE A" (imagine a Flipper section or a Slideshow section) and want that DMS section only for that page what I have to do?

Actually, when I add a DMS section it remains for all pages...

I need to have many page structures like:
- An home Page
- a post page;
- a portfolio page;
- ecc.
How does it works?

Sorry but via the DOCS online I can't find a way... :-(

I need your help.

Thanks in advance,

m.

Hi,

You create your layout for your page i.e. adding your Flipper section to your template, then go to DMS Toolbar > Templates and Create a new template, call it something that is associated to that page for example, if this template is your homepage, then call the template Homepage.

Now, do the same for each page. However, please be aware that if you added Sections to Header, Footer these areas are considered Global template areas, this means that any sections added to those areas will appear on all pages.

Sorry for the delay... many thinks happened.

Ok, you are perfectly right. If I add something to the HEADER section this will be visible for all the pages.

Thanks guys :-)
