Not the creator, can't locate where to place header and footer images

header and footer images

Best Answer Rob , 12 September 2013 - 06:04 PM

Login to the site as admin.

On the left side, you'll see PlatformPro as a menu tab.  Click it.

You'll see "Global Options" That's where the header image is uploaded.

Scroll down on that PlatformPro panel and you'll see Footer Options.  That's where the footer image goes.

But again, we cannot provide support for this product any longer. You should update to DMS.

I did not create the site and am not strong in WP. There are images in the Header and Footer that I cannot see where to replace them. According to the WordPress help: "if allowed by your current theme, you can customize the header of your theme by uploading and configuring an image."

Since I cannot find any such option off of the Appearance tab, I'm not sure what to do. The site obviously had someone place images in the Header and Footer, but I can't figure out from where.

I'm using the most recent build of WP and the site was made from PlatformPro.

Expedient help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary

Gary,

We no longer support PlatformPro.

But if I recall, you need to do your header upload from Dashboard > PlatformPro not from > Appearance.

Give me a link to your site and I'll try to see what's happening and if you can, describe which images are you trying to deal with.  They could be added by CSS and I'll be able to tell.

Thanks.

Sorry, I should have included the site. My bad.

<http://michaelcacciotti.com>

If you look at the top, there is a graphic for Michael for Assembly. Also, on the bottom, there is a graphic on the bottom left (left of the footer menu) and some text below the footer menu. I need to change each graphic as well as remove the text below the footer menu.

I did look at "Appearance," but the only options to change there is: "Site Title & Tagline," "Navigation," and "Static Front Page." I could not find there, or any other location where to change these two items (and I need to do this last week). :>(

I can work with any html or CSS, but I do not know where to look in a WP site for that. If you tell me where to find that stuff, I'll be a lot better.

Thanks for any help,

Gary

Bada Bing!

And I thought I had looked everywhere. Funny, once you "find" it. It's pretty obvious.

Thanks very very much.

Oops, one more please. On the home page, how do I remove the region between the top menu and the page content. There was a carousel like region that rotated images. I was able to find the area to put in images and removed that, but I've been unable to find out where to remove the entire region.

Big thanks in advance!

Gary

Gary,  from the Dashboard > PlatformPro, click Template Setup.  There's a drop down list.  Select the template used for the page you want to edit and follow the things found on that template. Add or remove as desired.

CSS can also be used to hide some things completely.

Ha! I went through all that and still couldn't find it. This time I checked around again, quit a few other things, and this time I found it!

Thanks again,

Gary
