blog snippets on static pages

Best Answer Rob , 15 September 2013 - 06:21 PM

By default, the home page is a blog page unless otherwise set up.

If you have a static homepage, you can add blog posts to it using shortcode from Special Recent Posts plugin.

If the homepage is just the default one, and uses blog posts, it will display as many as are set in the Settings at Dashboard > Settings > Reading.

Hi,

I apologise, but I am not sure what you mean by blog snippets, can you go into greater detail please.

I'd like to display blog posts snippets like you would see in a category page (http://miratrix.co.u...egory/miratrix/), on my homepage.

Hi Rob. That's perfect. Didn't want to comment until I'd implemented it and was sure it was what I was looking for, check it out - http://miratrix.co.uk/ I had to buy the plugin but it was $6, I think. The developer of the app also helped with a CSS bug with was clashing with pagelines theme. All works now.

That looks brilliant!  I'm so happy it worked.  Luca is a great developer and very helpful.
