How to Change min-height in Media Box

CSS

Best Answer Rob , 07 September 2013 - 06:03 PM

Hi Bruce,

When a value is removed from the min-height field, the element is left blank in the CSS as the element container still exists in the script, less any value entered. The empty container does no harm, and adds no spacing of any kind.  That's definitely coming directly from the MediaBox, which is one of the elements that has a min-height.

I'd like to change the minimum height in my Media Box.

In Firebug I see this:

element.style {
  1. min-height200px;
}

In the Custom Code I've placed this CSS (and tried dozens of other alternatives as well) but it did not work.

#page element.style {
  min-height: 110px !important;
}

I'd appreciate any help getting CSS that will override correctly.

The site is under development here:

Thanks,
Bruce

Bruce, the min-height can't be changed by custom code as the section settings will override it.  Examine the section and any parent section to see if you find Minimum Height or Min Height settings field, which will have the value 200 in it.  Change the value to any as low as 1. I don't recommend zero in this case.

Publish, then refresh.  Let us know if this works.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the response. I did do a bit of digging both with Firebug and Chrome Dev Tools, but couldn't find any parent sections with min height settings.

I did see this:

element.style {

}

I'm not sure why this would be left empty?

Thanks,

Bruce
