Question

Have you had a looked through the docs? http://support.pagelines.me/ (YES)
Have you searched the forum? http://www.pagelines...e&module=search (YES)
Have you tried disabling plugins? More often than not this is the cause of most problems. (YES)
Website URL: www.bostoncommons.net
Framework Version:  2.4.4
WordPress Version: latest
Plugins in Use:
Server/Host: hostgator
Screenshots:
Details: I'm seeing this at the top of all Admin pages. Has to do with "active theme" which is Pagelines Framework.
Your active theme:

  • Is missing the call to <?php wp_head(); ?> which should appear directly before </head>
  • Is missing the call to <?php wp_footer(); ?> which should appear directly before </body>

Any ideas?

Thanks,

David

Your active theme:

  • Is missing the call to <?php wp_head(); ?> which should appear directly before </head>
  • Is missing the call to <?php wp_footer(); ?> which should appear directly before </body>

This is now solved via plugin deactivation.

Thanks!

Hi David ,

Do you have any form of caching service? It's looking like you might have when i look at the source code as all the plugins stil seem active, maybe connected to cloudflare? You'd need to clear the cache here if so it will relfect the changes.

Hi James,

I have WP Total Cache and Cloudflare.

When you say "you need to clear the cache here" what do you mean "here"?

Thanks a lot!

David

If you're using a caching plugin, then there should be a setting to clear the cache in its options.  Clearing the cache and deactivating cloudflare or resetting it is important as they retain and display a snapshot of your site prior to changes. Don't deactivate the cache plugin, as this only leaves the snapshot in place.

So, I emptied all caches for W3 Total Cache and went to Cloudflare and deleted the entire cache for the site and I'm still getting:

Your active theme:

  • Is missing the call to <?php wp_head(); ?> which should appear directly before </head>
  • Is missing the call to <?php wp_footer(); ?> which should appear directly before </body>

Any ideas?

Thank you very much for your time and help!

David

Now it's either a plugin conflict or, we have to debug.  Lets try the plugin deactivation first.

However, it looks like it may be just a bad installation, possibly. If the plugin test doesn't product results, we'll go with reinstall.  Lastly, if it's not fixed, then we will debug.

Hi,

Plugin conflict seems to be W3 Total Cache.

In addition to the "active theme" problem referred to above I also get: "Fatal error: Call to undefined method W3_Plugin_TotalCacheAdmin::flush_all() in /home/socksis/public_html/wp-content/themes/pagelines/includes/class.render.css.php on line 671" whenever I try to log into: http://screencast.com/t/gLLEmIL8

I'd like to keep the W3 Total Cache if possible.

Any ideas on how to fix these 2 problems?

Thanks,

David

HI,

BTW, I just created a new site: www.baronre.com and I can't login to: http://screencast.com/t/gLLEmIL8 either there. That is a new install and all the plugins are deactivated.

When I try to login I get the message: ERROR: User not found! There was a problem logging in to PageLines.

I've been having this problem ever since your site was hacked. I also have to constantly reset my passwords as I change them and try to login and the passwords I just made don't work or maybe they work once. Is the username/password the same for pagelines.com and the pagelines forums?

So I just reset my password for the forum. Now I can log into the forum but I can't log into pagelines.com (http://screencast.com/t/tB7pN4S1k5)

Neither the new forum password, nor the current (or old) pagelines passwords logs me in.

So I have to go create a new pagelines.com password and that screws up my forum password which I have to go and reset.

I end up going around and around like a dog chasing its tail.

This is frustrating to say the least.

Thx.

David

Here's another attempt. Says my username does not exist. My username is efschilling.

Can you please check the systems to make sure I'm in it?

I had a pro account and it was supposed to be grandfathered to DMS.

I don't have access to ANYTHING like plugins.

WTF?

David

Yes your account indeed was grandfathered into DMS, if you go to pagelines.com/my-account/ you will see it there, I can see you have already used the key twice ;)

The forum and pagelines.com are NOT connected, changing passwords here will not change them there.

This is a public forum.

Where are you reseting your password? The legacy system for PageLines framework is the old launchpad system here: http://www.pagelines.com/launchpad/

I don't own a gun b/c I might shoot myself over these things.

Thanks,

David
