I think is got to do with this

body .dropdown-menu {
position: absolute;
top: 100%;
left: 0;
z-index: 1000;
display: static;
float: left;
min-width: 160px;    padding: 5px 0;    margin: 2px 0 0;
list-style: static;
background-color: none;
border: none;
border-radius: none;
-webkit-box-shadow: none;
-moz-box-shadow: none;
box-shadow: none;
}

Not sure what you mean by inline? Do you want the secondary items to be horizontal? I think you're correct about getting rid of the blue highlight. I'd just make it white myself.

Hi, if i understand

You can give a try at

dropdown-menu li > a:hover, .dropdown-menu li > a:focus, .dropdown-submenu:hover > a, .dropdown-menu li.current-menu-item > a { background-color: transparent;
    background-image: none;
    background-repeat: repeat-x;}
This code works fine at firefox

to compete to other browser is necessary change the background- image, this is green for example

.dropdown-menu li > a:hover, .dropdown-menu li > a:focus, .dropdown-submenu:hover > a, .dropdown-menu li.current-menu-item > a {
text-decoration: none;
text-shadow: 0px -1px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
color: rgb(255, 255, 255);
background-color: rgb(33, 172, 80);
background-image: linear-gradient(bottom, rgb(39,207,95) 9%, rgb(34,172,80) 50%);
background-image: -o-linear-gradient(bottom, rgb(39,207,95) 9%, rgb(34,172,80) 50%);
background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(bottom, rgb(39,207,95) 9%, rgb(34,172,80) 50%);
background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(bottom, rgb(39,207,95) 9%, rgb(34,172,80) 50%);
background-image: -ms-linear-gradient(bottom, rgb(39,207,95) 9%, rgb(34,172,80) 50%);
background-repeat: repeat-x;}

You change
bottom, rgb(39,207,95) 9%, rgb(34,172,80) 50%;
for a transparent color
;)

Glad to hear you got it working so easily and to your satisfaction. So does your secondary nav stay down when you're on those pages or are they just a standard rollover that drops down horizontally instead of vertically?
