Hi there,

I've read a lot of other posts on this topic but can't figure it out.

Thanks for reading this in advance!

Is there a way I can make my header image taller? Is there a custom code I can plug into my CSS section?

here's my site: wearflatstodinner.com

Your branding area isn't set to a fixed height. It reacts to the height of your image, adding padding above and below. Using CSS would only result in the whitespace above it or below it expanding, without actually changing the image.

To make it bigger, I'd recommend using a graphics editor.  You have plenty of room to resize the image and adjust the layout width so that the image width corresponds to the layout width.
