Active Hyperlinks

Question

Does anyone know how to make links in text boxes active?  Should they be put in some other type of section?  Thanks.

I had whole lists of websites that I needed to convert to hyperlinks and it looked like I'd have to go in and change them one at a time but I figured out a shortcut.

1.)  Create a table in Word with five columns.

2.)  Paste your list of websites into the second column.

3.)  Paste <a href=" all at once into the first column.

4.)  Paste  "> all at once into the third column.

5.)  Paste </a> all at once into the fifth column.

6.)  Type in the name of the website for each link into the fourth column.

7.)  Convert table to text by Tabs.

8.)  Eliminate the spaces between the ", > etc.

9.)  Copy the list and paste it into your text box on your site.

Of course now I have another question:  How do I make these links open in a new page.  I sure don't want to send my potential customers away!

But thebastion, when I asked about converting my links you said "CoachJo I'm afraid you will have to do it to every entry," and I don't see why my method is a problem.  It saved me a lot of time vs. doing one at a time.

I'm working on your other advice for my text box, font issues.

And now you want to open the links in a new page.

Yes.  That seems reasonable.  I suppose it's not easy :(
