plugin IPU-chart broken by theme code

Question

Posted · Report post

Dear

I have a big issue when using the plugin IPU-CHART with your pagelines framework.

After testing a while with other themes, eg the standard wordpress theme, it seems that your theme is breaking the plugin.

The chart is not showing up and results in a broken image icon. and that's it.

Can you have a look on this where pagelines  crack down the IPU-chart code?

This is the plugin page:

http://wordpress.org/plugins/ipu-chart/

Thx, looking forward to a solution.

My best,

kristof

Hi kristof,

Would you provide a link to your page where the chart is located?  Thanks.  It will help.

The Google API for that link is showing a 404.  I believe there's a problem with the plugin itself.

Additionally, you haven't updated from 2.4.2 to 2.4.4. Please do so.

Hi

I updated pagelines to 2.4.4, which didn't change anything.

1/ The code of the chart plugin in a well rendered page looks like this:

http://www.kristofbernaert.be/

<div id='data' class='csv' style='display:none;white-space:pre;'>Country,Population
China,1343.24
India,1205.07
USA,313.85
Indonesia,248.22
Brazil,205.72</div>
<figure id='c793767' class='chart'>

<script type='text/javascript'>
                    renderChart("c793767", "#data", "", "", "return data;", "bar", "Country",
                                "Population", "string, number", "auto",
                                "width:100%;height:300px;", "Top five most populous countries of the world...", "The top five most populous countries of the world...", "true", "linear",
                                "medium", "", "false");
                    </script>
                </figure>

2/ The exact same chart rendered through the pagelines framework results in this:

http://www.stichtingklassiekedans.be/test-2

<div class="entry_content"><div id='data' class='csv' style='display:none;white-space:pre;'>Country,Population   China,1343.24   India,1205.07   USA,313.85   Indonesia,248.22   Brazil,205.72</div>   <img title="Top five most populous countries of the world..." src="http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=bar&chtt=Top five most populous countries of the world...&chs=400x200&chd=t:&chf=bg,s,ffffff" alt="Top five most populous countries of the world..." />

Does that work for you if you use this plugin in pagelines?

It isn't work as the URL for the SRC isn't correct, can you provide the exact code and wrap the code using the

 bbcode please.

For example:

Your code Here

Your chart URL is giving this link, which leads to a 404 - http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=bar&chtt=Top%20five%20most%20populous%20countries%20of%20the%20world...&chs=400x200&chd=t:&chf=bg,s,ffffff

Hi Danny

I understand what you say. But the google api link code hasn't to be in the code itself, as I posted you a good and a bad example above here.

The bad rendering results with the link to the google api, which isn't the correct rendering of the code.

Good rendered code looks like:

<div id='data' class='csv' style='display:none;white-space:pre;'>Country,Population
China,1343.24
India,1205.07
USA,313.85
Indonesia,248.22
Brazil,205.72</div>
<figure id='c793767' class='chart'>

<script type='text/javascript'>
                    renderChart("c793767", "#data", "", "", "return data;", "bar", "Country",
                                "Population", "string, number", "auto",
                                "width:100%;height:300px;", "Top five most populous countries of the world...", "The top five most populous countries of the world...", "true", "linear",
                                "medium", "", "false");
                    </script>
                </figure>

You can't find this correct code with the pagelines framework.

My best,

Kristof

Hi,

Not sure why this isn't working, you will probably be best contacting the plugin developer.

However, we do include a Google Chart shortcode which you can use.
