Changing Color of Search Form & Search Field Navable

Question

Posted · Report post

This works while viewing in Firebug but when applied to custom code it does not work. It also gives me Less Compile Error.

I want the background color of the Search field and button to be white.

Thank you very much for helping me in advance because it helps me learn and become more self sufficient.

    border: 1px solid #FFFFFF !important;
    color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8);
    margin-right: 11px;

@margeaux7  I moved the topic to Nick Haskin's queue.  He'll be able to reply best to this.  Many apologies for any delay. He's usually very prompt once he gets notice, but usually that's not till the end of the day (the system, not him nor me).  Thanks for your patience.

Nick,

Thank you for  the hints. I changed the search button to white and added this to custom code: Search field is still green. What am I doing wrong?

.section-navable .searchform .searchfield {
    background-color: #FFFFFF !important;
    border: 1px solid #FFFFFF !important;
    color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8);
    margin-right: 11px;
}
