Events Bugs in Events Section (please help)

Question

Posted · Report post

Hi Nick,

Second try to post this one, one more 'bug' i have found ;-)

Hope to get a reply now soon.

I experience a lot problems with the EVENTS section:

  1. Gravity form does not show up when i fill in the de ID number.
  2. The Single Event shortcode is very unclear to me. Nothing i put in seems to make any difference.
  3. The date icons do not turn blue as i hover over them like on the demo site
  4. The date icons icons won’t sort by month
  5. The event agenda doesn't scroll with mouse like in the demo.
  6. Shouldn't it be a good idea to have the month also noted in the single-event?

www.goto11events.nl

Thanks!

Frank

How about the shortcode issue?

On this page: http://www.goto11eve...stratie-select/

I try to put in  single event short codes

This is the first short code:

[event_single id="5472" b1-type="info" b1-link="http://www.goto11eve...mpstartyourlife" b2-link="http://www.goto11eve...nl/registration" ebid="7784643077"]Balls and Bullets![/event_single]

1. I do not see the button title 'Ball and Bullets' for instance?

2. The eventbrite form doesn't show up

3. How can i get the title for button two? (and all the other attributes?)

4. b1-type="info" has no effect.

5. If i remove the bi-link the first button keeps directing to that url (tied to the post id  i guess)

Anyway..  on my computer nothing has a effect.

I was looking at your site last night, and it was working. YOu had like 8 events put up with the single event shortocode, with no issues that I saw. I tested here, and there are no issues with the shortcode. NONE. The demo, has the same shortcode, and there's nothing wrong with i there.

http://screencast.com/t/QA9xCwYt7N

That's the code. As you can see, there's nothing wrong with it.  The green button will ALWAYS link to the event. That's what it was designed to do.

PLEASE read the instructions. It's either Eventbrite OR Gravity Form, not both.

Also, PLEASE review the documentation again. That shortcode, is wrong.

[single_event]

That's it. There is no text in the middle with a closign shortcode tag. The demo doesn't display this at all, and every attribute is documented.

I'm very sorry for this whole thing but;

I do read all the documentation very thoroughly. Hours in fact. Testing and trying. All the things you say about what's in the documentation are clear to me.

I'm not a professional developer but i have some understanding.

Please consider that not all your documentation is that clear. Also your video is so speedy.

the change to miss something is really big. ;-)

Also, due to my extensive study of the working of this plugin you found two real bugs.

I do understand the basics of short codes but i do not understand the LOGIC of this particular short code;

This is what i do understand that in the grammar of a short code

1. 'Balls and Bullets' suppose to be the TITLE of a button, right?

[event_single id="5472" b1-type="info" b1-link="http://www.goto11eve...mpstartyourlife" b2-link="http://www.goto11eve...nl/registration"]Balls and Bullets![/event_single]

Why does it not show up?

2. And how can i name / define the second one?

It is a mystery that this code is working with you.

Here on my computer it is not working AT ALL as you can clearly see.

Thank you for your patience Nick

right shortcodes come in both ways. They can either be single, or wrapped.

OK, that's why there was only ONE piece in the documentation.

Due to that i guessed the other one

Thanks for your help
