Sorting sections...

Hello,

Wondering if there is a way, or plans, to enable sorting (A-Z, Z-A, Date, Premium vs free, etc)  by user for sections? The sidebar filters are helpful, but for instance when viewing all, its a motley crew here.

You know, I couldn't agree more. It's not easy to know what things do, or how to choose.  I'll change this from tech support to Ideas and Feedback, so our developers will see it and perhaps work out a solution for the next or some near future update.

No worries.  It may take some time, but I'll push gently. :)

+1 for this. Just should a gorgeous new site to client and that was literally the first thing they asked us because they have almost 50 sections to deal with. Definitely an important aspect if this is going to be usable for the masses.

The update is clean & modern. But for me personally, I miss the picture icons, and also the ability to filter via sections, plugins, themes...its a bit more confusing now.

Are we talking about the store or the Add to Page option in the DMS Toolbar ?

I don't see any issue with the DMS Toolbar to be honest. The sections are in alphabetical order and you have a number of filters to sort through the sections.

Not entirely sure what Z-A, date (date for what ?), premium or free filters would bring ?

Danny

Hi Danny,

Is it just me?

I meant in the actual DMS extensions store. I miss being able to look at only themes, extensions & plugins. While the look is cleaner - its now much harder to sort through - especially as the list increases.

I've purchased 5 or 6 items now. I go back from time to time, and look here as well.

Also, you cannot access the store offerings within the DMS editor? That was also very handy - you now must visit the store in a regular web page.

In terms of the actual store, I can't say whether this is going to be included. However, our store designer is aware of this.

Its not alphabetical. At the very least can you guys make it alphabetical by default? This is what we see.

Mark & Phil - What version are you using, as I haven't seen it that jumbled up since beta ?

There is some kind of alphabetical order to them, although this can be improved on closer inspection.

We're using the DMS Developer theme, whatever that one was. And we've updated to the most recent version of it yesterday and same issue.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!  smile.gif

Store looks and functions great! Thank you, thank you! While Im obviously very pleased, I can't help but think many current and new customers will also appreciate the work.

Haven't been around much lately, as I inadvertently stumbled upon a black hole, and I have been dangling around on the event horizon. Will return soon to add a little brand of chaos to the fray.
