BuddyPress conflicting with PL ToolBox

Question

Posted · Report post

Update: Scratch that. Looks like it was either bp-template-pack or the PageLines for BuddyPress plugin that was causing the conflict.

I killed both of them (along with the BP directories in my child theme) and it fixed it.

Has DMS been tested with BuddyPress? Seems to have some major issues.

The PageLines ToolBox (and by extension, all the styling) breaks when you view BuddyPress pages. Members, Activity Stream, Groups, etc.

When you view the pages while logged out (or with ToolBox disabled), they work fine.

You can view a screenshot of what's going on here:

I've managed to reproduce it in a few different WP installs using these steps:

  1. Create a fresh install of WordPress
  2. Login
  3. Install and activate DMS
  4. Install and activate BuddyPress
  5. Go to Settings: BuddyPress
  6. Check all the components and press "Save Settings"
  7. Update the permalink structure to "Post name" under Settings - Permalinks

Then when I go to Settings - BuddyPress, click on the Pages tab, and view each BuddyPress page, they break like in the attached screenshot.

Any ideas?

I turned off Template Pack and Pagelines BP Plugin and any other Buddypress plugins and still no dice. I keep getting the same display as your screenshot. Pagelines, any advice?

Did you try removing the buddypress template pack directories?  (activity, members, etc.)
