Some basic option are missing

Question

Hello guys,

First of all, DMS is great. It's very simple to use. Anybody can create a greate site with DMS and a little patient.

BUT, as you can read in the title, some basic option are missing.

- Unable to put the main logo easily (in Framework, it was easy)

- In ibox, the picture are round, and i want them square (or triangle, or...) without using the html box because DMS is has been created to make beautiful website without coding.

- In ibox again, i don't find the option to translate the link "more". It was possible in Framework

- In ibox again again, and in every section, i don't find the option to put a picture from the media manager. It was possible in framework.

- i was thinking that it was possible to put 2 section side by side. 2 section of 6/12 width fit in an 12/12 area.

- In section, we have the ability to put a background image. Why not a simple color selector? I don't always need a background image, just a color.

And i can give you a lot more exemple like this. Some basic and useful option from framework are not in the dms. I got the impression that you released a unfinished version of DMS because it was the day. I hope you'll release updates quick.

Thanks for reading and sorry for my english, it's not easy for me to write in english.

Hi, 1. Adding a logo to your site is simple in DMS, you use the MediaBox, if you wish to have your logo linkable. Use a MediaBox and use the HTML box, use HTML like this:

<a href="URL for site here"><img src="path to logo image here" alt=""></a>

2. If you want a Squared image, upload an image, iBox uses Font Awesome with a circular background.

3. That may be a bug, which I will report.

4. In PageLines Framework, the ability to select images from the media library wasn't added until 2.2.2 (I think), this has been discussed and will most likely be added in a future update.

5. You can have two sections side by side, you can even stack stack sections in two columns. All you need to do is either, drag your section onto your template, then decrease the width of that section to 6/12, then add your next section underneath and set the width the same 6/12. They should be side by bar. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the 2Column layout section and then proceed to drag your sections to either column.

6. You're right regarding a color picker and this has been mentioned before. However, you can also do this easily by using the custom classes filed. Add the following code to your website and then add the classes name which represents the color you wish, if your preferred color is listed, use the code below as a base to add your own color.

/* red background, white text */
.my-red-area {
	background-color: #BD362F;
	color: white;
}
/* blue background, white text */
.my-blue-area {
	background-color: #0055CC;
	color: white;
}
/* green background, white text */
.my-green-area {
	background-color: #51A351;
	color: white;
}
/* yellow background, white text */
.my-yellow-area {
	background-color: #FFC40D;
	color: white;
}
/* orange background, white text */
.my-orange-area {
	background-color: #F89406;
	color: white;
}
/* purple background, white text */
.my-purple-area {
	background-color: #7A43B6;
	color: white;
}

I agree with Nokow, lack many basic options, DMS should facilitate the work, if you want to write so much code just take other frameworks lighter and less expensive.
I like to occasionally write code yet, but the amount of work the dms must help a bit like headway, there are still problems with the network account I bought a theme yesterday still look the link so on, hope for quick updates.
