Hi Mark,

Please accept our apologies for the delay in getting back to you.  You may have heard that our site experienced several days of technical difficulties.

Platform Pro is now officially at the end of its lifespan.  I'm one of the few who remember some bits of it, so I'll try to help.  You can't unfortunately, set the width of individual sections to make them wider than the rest of the layout, however, you can control, with CSS, the width of some sections (not all), to make them narrower.

So, let's say you had your layout set to 1200px, but you wanted to make the features only 1000px wide. You could add custom code like:

#features {max-width: 1000px;}

This, combined with background images that don't exceed 1000px wide and you should see a 1000px wide section.  If you use Firebug for Firefox or Chrome's Inspection Tool, you can check, edit, test, copy and then paste your custom CSS (to Custom Code) to affect changes to many sections.

Have you heard about our new DMS? That has tools that would let you control each section's width, height and alignment brilliantly, easily, and dramatically with minimal effort.  Effectively, point, click, drag, save.  Since PlatformPro is now going to be unsupported, you may want to consider upgrading.  The free version is awesome, but the Basic or Pro levels would be astounding for your site, having many extra options and amenities.

Hello,

Is it possible to have a different width page margin on the blog page (wider to accept larger images), as opposed to the other web pages?

www.thisisyou.net

Thanks,

mark
