Hi,

I'm using tabs to provide some content to my visitors, however, although I used the raw shortcodes around the shortcodes for tabbed content, it's giving me some unwanted empty <p></p> markup in the content from a 'tab'.

I made already a staging area, deactivated all plugins, and the result is still unwanted empty p tags.

Please see this page:

As you can see in the below html markup, in the beginning and end empty p markup.

Also, I see that the <h2> title is pushed directly to the border of the content, why isn't the padding here right out of the box?

Kind regards,

Willem-Siebe

Hello Willem

Looks like you using the pltabs in universal sidebar so into a text widget?  If you are entering the markup into a text widget make sure you do not have 'automagically add paragraphs' ticked.

Hi, as you can see on the provided link it is a page, not a widget.

Willem, if you're using our Tabs from

, then you will see a Note at the bottom of the section there which says:

Note: You may find that Wordpress inserts line-breaks when using Shortcodes on different lines, as in our example here. To prevent this from ruining your day, wrap problematic shortcodes in RAW. Example: rawSC.png?v=1371676951

So, if you follow that instruction, and wrap your entire tab code with the PL_RAW tags, as described, you will be able to eliminate the errant paragraph tags.  It sometimes pays to read the fine print! :)

Hi Willem

Under your code is there a space underneath the [pl_raw] tags? Or is the space within the [pl_raw] tags at the bottom. Looking at the source code it seems like the empty p tag is adding spacing to the bottom, we can't tell where that is in the code though in relation to the pl_raw tags unfortunately. If you could screenshot the code in the page for us in text mode so we can see how it was before it's rending in html.
