Shows me how to place posts.... Hopefully exerpts in a static page. But what if I want them to be category specific?

How do I place a line somewhere defining the category?

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

Wordpress can set up dynamic category pages using a custom menu. If you go to appearance>menus and create a new menu, you'll see an option to include categories down the left hand side of the page. Check the categories you want to include. This will include a category page which is dynamically created pulling posts from the chosen category.

For more information from custom menus see -

If you want to include a group of category based posts on a static page then I'd suggest looking at the special recents posts plugin -

or Pagelines anyloop - http://www.pagelines.com/store/sections/anyloop/
