Hello,

We're trying to use a third party JavaScript to pull display client ratings on our PageLines website.

Javascript located at

When we enable the JavaScript in the header our feature and quickslider stops working. The creators of the JavaScript claim there is nothing wrong with their application.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank!

Andrew

Hi,

There may not be anything wrong with their product for it to conflict with a later or different version PageLines may use.

Thy adding this code to Dashboard > PageLines > Site Options > Custom Code to see if it fixes the slider issues:

One thing to try is to disable all non-pagelines plugins and see if the conflict is coming from a plugin vs JS.

it is worth a try. if you do find something then re-enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is the culprit.

also if you can go to Pagelines > site options > advanced and enable Pagelines debug please we will take a look there

Hi Martin,

I disabled all the plugins and my slider is still not working - I have left it disabled at the moment.

Pagelines debug has been enabled :)

Last thing I need to complete before getting the site live.

Thanks,

Andrew

Andrew, as long as you keep the conflicting javascript, there will be a problem with any section of PageLines or other plugins, seeking to use the default javascript we provide.

Remove the problematic javascript from your site. I'd recommend contacting the plugin author, or simply replacing the plugin that needs the erroneous code.

Unfortunately, we cannot re-write the code of a third-party product, nor re-write our javascript to accommodate every plugin that doesn't use the latest code used by WordPress (which is what we're using).

I use dms version 1.1.4 and base theme for this template.

I think this error make some other parts of the website no work properly.

Do you have any idea?

Thanks!

DMS when installed without any third party custom scripts/code or plugins has no such error. Therefore, its most likely you have a plugin causing this error. I recommend you remove all custom code/scripts you may have added and disable all active plugins except for DMS Pro Tools and see if this resolves your error.
