Where do I need to paste this code?

Best Answer James B , 01 July 2013 - 10:38 PM

Hi there,

Batman is correct, this is a hook so will need to be added to the functions.php inside a child theme or the customize plugin.

Hi to all,

I previously noticed that the Twitter widget created from twitter does not work when the code is pasted into the a morefoot column. A bug was created (

) and Simon_P kindly gave me a fix:

add_action( 'wp_print_scripts', function() { wp_dequeue_script( 'pagelines-blocks'); } );

However, I have no idea where I should paste this code? Any help on this would be great!

Thanks, James

Thanks, everything is now working correctly and the Twitter widget shows up perfectly in the morefoot columns. However, this is probably a new topic but I have now realized that I am unable to use any CSS (I think...) to style the Twitter widget.

For example if I use 'background: red;' to style the header then nothing happens?

.timeline-header

    {
    background: red;
    border-width: 0 0 1px;
    box-shadow: 0 0 0 -3px transparent;
    padding: 12px;
    }

Kind regards,

James Wilson

Ofcourse, please find the link here (

). I am able to change the CSS using Firebug as normal. However, when I add the code into the Customize plugin it does not save the changes.

the Twitter widget is placed in the #morefoot section of the site.

I'll also re-active a 'coming soon' plug-in later today as the site is still heavily in development and clearly unfinished. If it's activated when you click the link let me know and I'll deactivate it ASAP for you.

Thanks again for all of your help with this,

James.

Hi there,

The white background seems to be coming from a slightly different class using background-color in the css, see

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

and trying duplicating that setup. You can try and force the css using !important at the end of the css line before the closing ;

.timeline

    {
    background-color: red !important;
    }

If it's only the header you want to color, you can use the same class but try important to force it

.timeline-header {
    background-colorblue !important;
}
