I am getting too much white space in the ContentBox at this page -

I have inspected the ContentBox with Firebug and it seems the correct CSS to add in Pagelines>Site Options>CSS Code is:

body{}
.contentbox .texture .content .content-pad {
padding: 15px; 15 px; 0 px; 15 px;
}

However, I am not getting any changes to the layout.

Please advise.

Hi there,

As well as the padding you have a margin on the .hentry class. See the screenshot below. If you remove that in firebug then copy/paste the code this will reduce the gap further.

I must be missing something because the layout is not changing.

I put the css modifications into the Pagelines > Site Options > Custom Code.  See attached screen shot

Hi there, it's just the .hentry class, your code is going one further into the .hentry-pad so it's trying to remove the code from there instead of the .hentry

I was able to eliminate 2 extra white space regions by using these CSS modifications (NOT the long version of it that was originally suggested by Martin and James)

.hentry .hentry-pad {
padding: 0 0 0px;
}
.hentry {
clear: both;
margin: 0 0 0 0;
}

I am not sure why this short version works and not the long version???  Please advise.

If you look at your original code, you were adding the instruction to each level.  By getting down to specific levels, the code worked. In the broadest sense, for it to work it had to find all those elements.  Your CSS must be precise for it to function.

We're very happy it did work.
