Hi,

Well, you'll probably need to be more specific and narrow down the element to the menu part of brandnav.

Next, you should always use the 0 before the .8.  Your browser will not understand .8 but will understand 0.8.

Lastly, with your site in maintenance mode, it's rather hard to tell how to specifically assign this as we can't inspect it.

I've searched the forum and have firebugged this thing for hours, but can't find a solution so I thought I'd reach out for some help.

I want to use the Brandnav with some background opacity to allow a slideshow to show through.

Please see the image below for what I'm hoping to achieve.

I'm using Layer Slider for the slideshow and have fiddled around with the positioning of it to get it to "sit" underneath the Brandnav.

But I cannot seem to get the Brandnav to behave as I want (opacity: .8).

Any ideas?

Hi Rob

Thanks for your suggestions.

I finally managed to isolate the correct element and then modified the z-index, which allowed me to achieve the effect I was going for.

Cheers

Dawson
