Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you guys are planning to release an update for Postpin paid section?

This paid section is really awesome and I recommend people to buy it but it seems we users still need to replace the current code with this piece of code (given by Simon) in order to display correctly blog posts according to categories, tags, authors and search templates.

So my question is: is it possible to include the code above into the next Postpin section release please?

Moreover, can I also ask to:

  • implement some piece of code to display blog posts correctly according to Archive Template (doesn't work currently)
  • add a box to set the number of words to display within the pins if people prefer to use WordPress excerpts

Thank you very much for your attention.

Cheers,

Jean-Philippe

Hello Simon,

Once again, thank you very much for the quick answer and this new PHP code.

I tested it on my own website and it's almost perfect:

  • category template : ok
  • tag template : ok
  • search template : ok
  • author template : ok
  • new "Number of words to load" box : ok
  • archive template : it seems there is something wrong with filtering blog posts following dates.
    If I ask for example to display blog posts published on June 5th 2013 [http://www.photoreview.fr/2013/06/05], Postpin section will display blog posts published on this day + blog posts published on May 5th + April 5th + March 5th + February 5th, etc.
    If I ask to display blog posts published on January 2013 [http://www.photoreview.fr/2013/01], Postpin section will display blog posts published on January 2013 + January 2012, etc.
    I wasn't able to test it with just filtering by year because in this case I have too much blog posts to display!

Hope it can help you a little Simon.

Thank you!

Jean-Philippe

Just found the little bug to fix in order to display well blog posts filtered by a specific day:

Line 253-254, replace:

if( is_archive() && is_day() )
$query['day'] = $wp_query->query_vars['day'];

By:

if( is_archive() && is_day() ) {
$query['day'] = $wp_query->query_vars['day'];
$query['monthnum'] = $wp_query->query_vars['monthnum'];
$query['year'] = $wp_query->query_vars['year'];
}

Et voilĂ  !

You're welcome :)

I wanted to add one more thing: the piece of PHP code given above http://paste.pagelines.com/6ia works well with Postpins DMS.
