css-class for adding color to any text. why doesn't this work?

Rob, thanks for replying. As noted it is in style.css. Though, now I found it myself, it was just a small coding error, it was commented out by mistake.

There is probably something really easy that I've missed or misunderstood, but I'm not a professional web-developer. I'll appreciate any help.

 

I put the following in style.css of my child theme.

And then tried to add this color to a heading with

This doesn't work. What's the proper way to make this work with Pagelines?

I tried to add make it important, but that didn't help?

Hi,

 

Where did you place the CSS code?

 

If you add that code to Dashboard > PageLines > Site Options > Custom Code anywhere after body {}, it should work.
