Hi Joel

There's a couple of options you could try for this. You could try the method below, editing the icons directly.

Or there are some plugins available which will allow you to insert your own icons like -

Or you could try using a hook to add your own icons inplace of the standard icons -

Thanks!

I purchased Brandnav-plus from Pagelines store. It downloaded to my computer. How do I activate this plugin?

Uploading a Section in .zip format

Use the .zip upload to add a section if:

  • you have downloaded a section from the online PageLines.com store and are adding it to your site
  • or if you have created your own section and want to upload it for use on your site

If creating and adding your own sections, PageLines 2.0 offers templates, training, and a streamlined process. For help creating a new section, follow the instructions in the

Upload Section .zip

In The PageLines Store:

  1. Select "Sections"
  2. Select "Add Sections"
  3. Select "Upload"
  4. Click "Choose File" or "Browse" to select a .zip file from a local directory
    • Important: The .zip must be named section-nameofyoursection.zipfor the upload to work
  5. Click "Install Now"
  6. The section is now in the "Added" tab
    • If your section is not in the "Added" tab, either there is an error in the section.php file or the .zip file is incorrectly named
  7. Click "Activate" to begin using your new section!

Where is the "Added" tab located?

Hi Joel,

It may not be labelled "Added" and may be called "Your Added Sections" in Dashboard > PageLines > Store > Sections.  You may be able to add the section directly via the Store, if your account credentials are properly implemented in your PageLines settings.

Let us know if this works.  If not, we have other options.

I emailed the developer and she gave me the right info to get it installed. It works now. Thanks!

Now, I realize this is not really what I wanted to begin with. I like the way the Pagelines media icons function, I just wanted replace the images. Is there a way to keep the format and simply replace the images?

This was on another post...

"Just did this (

). The icons you need are in the theme folder then... /pagelines/sections/branding. Download the icons you want to change, save them with the same name then reupload making sure to 'overwrite'. To add different icons (I did Pinterest instead of linkedin) just save your chosen icon as 'linkedin' (in my case) then add the link you need to the 'linkedin' section of the settings panel in pagelines dashboard. That make sense?!"

Where do I find: theme folder then... /pagelines/sections/branding

Joel,

This gets rather complicated.  You'll need to clone the section to a child or Base theme, then, replace the images there, via FTP.

Do you have FTP access to your site?

If you have PageLines Base Theme installed and activated, you can FTP to your site then wp-content/themes/pagelines/sections and copy the sections folder to your local computer.

Now, go into the child theme, located at wp-content/pagelines-content/themes and create a folder called sections. Upload the Branding section to this new section.  It will be on your desktop in the sections folder you just downloaded.

Don't upload the whole sections folder.

When you have the Branding folder located in the right place, you can then replace the images there.

That should do it.
