Adsense Leaderbord between Boxes

Best Answer catrina , 06 May 2013 - 07:15 PM

Here is the corrected code:

#contentbox .content-pad {
    padding-bottom: 1px; padding-top: 0px; height: 95px;
  }

Hi everybody!

I'd like to integrate an Adsense Leaderbord on my site. I got 12 boxes in total and three boxes every row.

So I'd like to insert the Adsense layer after the first row and that means after the first three boxes.

My present status quo on my site is:

Row1: Box1, Box2, Box3

Row2: Box4, Box5, Box6

Row3: Box7, Box8, Box9

Row4: Box10, Box11, Box12

My thought is:

Row1: Box1, Box2, Box3

Row2: horizontal Adsense Leaderbord

Row3: Box4, Box5, Box6

Row4: Box7, Box8, Box9

Row5: Box10, Box11, Box12

I think I can't integrate the Adsense Code in the php code because of the numeric box structure.

How could I solve the problem. Thank you for your response!

Kind regards!

Hi,

The Simplest method to achieve this layout would be to clone the Boxes section and add a ContentBox section to your template. Then Position the sections on your template like this:

Boxes Section
ContentBox Section
Boxes Section Clone

Boxes Section Clone

Boxes Section Clone

Then you will want to alter your boxes so that Boxes 1-3 are in one set and do the same for 4,5,6, in another set and so on. Then go Wordpress Admin Dashboard > Pages, select the page and configure the Box sections to display these box sets. For example:

Boxes Section = Boxes 1-3
ContentBox Section
Boxes Section Clone = Boxes 4-6

Boxes Section Clone = Boxes 7-9

Boxes Section Clone = Boxes 10-12

Now in the ContentBox sections options, add the HTML code for you Ad.

Yes, that section is the one where you will want to add your adsense code.

Hello Danny. Thank a lot, it worked. I appreciate it! Would it be possible to minimize the gap between the several sections a little bit? I think the space is just a little bit too much! Or is there no chance?

Hi,

It can be done and it will require the use of custom CSS.

I recommend using Firebug or your browsers built-in web dev tools and inspect the Fix Navigation element to find the correct code.

For assistance visit our custom CSS documentation -

Hello!

I used Firebug a long time now and found the adjustment I need for the content box.

This is it:

<div class="content-pad" style="padding-bottom: 1px; padding-top: 0px; height: 95px;">

But I need it just for the ContentBox, not for the other Boxes e.g.

So I can't copy it into the Global Custom Code field.

How do I have to deposit the code just for the ContentBox that it works?

Kind regards!

To make it ContentBox-specific, you need to use the DIV selector for ContentBox (the selector should be #contentbox), so your CSS selectors should look something like this:

Hello catrina,

thank you a lot for your help. Where do I have to put the Code. In the general custom CSS Code Section or in the Content Box Content? Greetings.
