iBlogPro Forum Deep Integration

Question

Posted · Report post

Try as I might I cannot edit the BB Press config file so that it (a) accepts the deep integration line required (re wp-header) and/or (b0 allows me to access the BB Press admin page. Where does this line go in the php file and what exactly is the path it requires? Sorry but I've struggled and got nowhere .. ;-( Colin P.S. I'm assuming that the instructions mean that this step is a PRE-REQUISITE to loading the iBlogPro Forum files? Wld make sense, if only I could get it to work .. Thanks!

haha. Sure, we'll get it Colin. Just add the line at the end of 'bb-config.php' on my test server I've added: `require_once('/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wp1/wp-blog-header.php');` at the bottom of my file. Have you gotten the user database to sync yet? p.s. I'm on a mac

Andrew, thanks. Mac too, naturally ;-). That 'path/to/' looks awfully static - ie no full URL required? http or ftp? And right at the bottom? Sorry to ask yet another q, but I've got BBPress to recognise the dBase (accepted all the settings etc) but how do I know if it's syncing? If I should be putting these q's in the BBPress forum you'll let me know, won't you? Thanks again, Colin

Its not a url but a direct file path. On my server it looks something like: `require_once('/home/public_html/wordpress_folder/wp-blog-header.php');` This tells the code on the server to 'include' WP.
And right at the bottom?
Yes

You should be able to login to BBPress with your WP accounts

It's up to you; Its all about making you successful at this :)
