I am trying to move a copy of a pagelines website to a dev environment.  I have followed the tutorial here:

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

I have exported and imported the xml files for wordpress

i have exported and imported the dat file for pagelines - when exporting/importing I selected all check boxes.

Problem #1:The new dev site does not look correct.  The CSS does not appear to be working correctly.  I used the Custom Code section in Pagelines admin to make changes.

Problem #2: none of the Banners or Boxes seemed to move over.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hi there, once you've imported you should see your new settings take affect.

Try going to settings>permalinks and don't make any changes, just click save to flush through the links.

Check all your images have copied over, at the moment it looks like the default images are there.

Have you definitely imported your settings file? Can you see your own boxes/features when you look in the admin area?

Thanks for your response.  did the following changes, no improvement

- checked the permalinks - I did change them anyway to postname, same as live

- I moved all the art files over previously - wp-content/uploads/

- no , there are no boxes/features on the admin side.  it appears they didn't port over

I would say do the DB import again, it seems like it didn't go through, the css and settings seem to have worked as it's placed in the boxes and feature slider in the correct areas on the page, just the content that hasn't gone in.

Thanks.  I'm almost there.  I reimported, and that seemed to add the missing content.

The only remaining issue I see is the color css on the nav buttons -- the dropdowns work, and it appears the css is working across the site.  just the nav isn't working.  Any ideas?

Hi,

The issue with your menu styling is that your menu items have different IDs.

For example,

= The Services menu item has an ID of 190 ~

= The Services menu item has an ID of 1652 ~

You will need to find the correct ID for your menu items on your dev site and the issue should then be resolved.
