'Projects' width/background issue

Question

Posted · Report post

Hello peeps, my issue is that I'm building a WP page for the company,  I've added the 'projects' section on the site to show a portfolio of the sites we've built over the years but its bought a width with it that spills out of the content and into the background.

http://91.121.85.56/~dreamsig/

I've played around with the CSS on Firebug with Chrome and managed to fix the issue, (temporarily on the browser) by changing the max width from 100% to this:

#page .section-projects .content {
max-width: 71.4%;
}

However when i add this code to the Style.Css, nothing changes?

If this is custom CSS, remove it.

#page .section-projects .content {
max-width: 100%;
}

If it isn't custom CSS add the following to your custom code.

#site .section-projects .content {
max-width: 960px;
}

Also, in future if this section is a third party store section, please post in the correct forum. We do not provide support for third party sections.

sorted it a while ago, forgot about this post however!
so i had managed to resolve this until my colleague noted that in his browser the width was different to mine, probably because i had used a % in the custom CSS.

any new ideas to get the width of projects to fit the content?
