Hi.

My client loves the site but wants 1 more thing.

Can I use the css area to add a small gray bar that goes across the bottom of the site?

Here's how he wants it to go.

I know css but its been a while and I'd like an elegant way to implement this.

thanks,

John

Is this bar going to contain any content or is it just going to be a very thick border at the bottom of the page?

Hi there,

Yes you can, you can add a border-bottom to your footer area so it will display as a solid bar at the bottom of the site. That way it would remain at the bottom of the page in all different layouts etc.

hi.

that worked.

should that work on the top as well? I tried the same thing with body{border-top:30px solid red; } but  it doesn't want to do anything.

Yes that will work for the top as well, you'll probably need to apply it to the header though
