Missing "Content Box" in set up options.

Best Answer amf2013 , 22 February 2013 - 09:07 AM

While I was waiting for you, I figured out the issue. Now, my other problems are that when I am setting my boxes for the home page, I am supposed to set them to HOME, however, the only option I have is default. Do you know why it is not showing home?

And the photo slider for the home page is quite large and deep....any way to make it more slim and narrow?

I'm new and watching Nick's video - Build A Site in 10 Minutes. I got half way with no issues but when it came time for Drag & Drop in the Header section... the "Content Boxes" add on was not there. Now I'm stuck. Help?

The Content Box section is a free section available from the store and needs to be installed before it is available in the Drag & Drop settings.

To enable this navigate to Pagelines>Store and then to 'Top Free'. Scroll down and you should see the Content Box Section. Install this and then it will be available in the Drag & Drop settings.

I can't seem to navigate my way back to Nick's video "How to build an awesome website in 10 minutes" or something like that. Might you have the URL?

Martin, you rock!! Thanks so much! I do have another question. When Nick shows putting the link in the Content Box content area, he's pasting html in there. I do realize it's a sample image from Toms Shoes but it leads me to beleive that whatever image I want to show in that section, has to be an image already uploaded to a URL somewhere and that it must be written in html? There is no way to simply upload images from one's computer? I even tried copying and pasting an image from one of my sites with the <img src= in front and it would not show. I'm lost on this one!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi there, when you upload an image to the media library through the media>add new tab you'll see a url when the image is finished loading.

Use that url and insert into your html, then you'll be able to use it within the contentbox.

Thanks James! The only other issue is that it seems to be aligned left and I'm not sure why, as the border is even all the way around it. I don't see an option to align.

Hi there,

They'll be no option panels for aligning the image unfortunately, you can do this in html though, using the img class wordpress uses. I've included an example below.

Using html did not appear to be working either but what I did do was take a screen shot of the page, and then I opened it in CS5 and measured the space left to right above the slider and created an image with that width... and it worked! It's perfectly aligned. I'll just make sure I use that dimension from now on for my content box images. Thanks James!

You could using an image sharing service, for example

or you can use something a little more powerful with more features such as

.

Once you have the link to the image you can then just paste the link into the forum

Boxes and Quickslider are separate issue from the ones originally mentioned in this topic. Please can you create a new topic relating to the new issues and we will be happy to help you out with them. This helps others find solutions to their problems also.
