Best Answer Danny , 11 February 2013 - 10:05 AM

I've just added the domain to a reverse IP checker and found that your site has over 270 websites, although isn't the worst Ive seen but that is still quite a lot of websites using the same resources as your site.

We do recommend the following the hosts:

https://www.zippykid.com/

http://wpengine.com/

The features on my homepage are loading bizarrely in Firefox.  When the page loads, there is a flash at the beginning where all of the seven features are visible one over another scrolling down behind the content of the rest of the page which looks pretty awful.

Then everything snaps back into place, and the page looks normal.

This happens in a weird flash when the the page is loading, but it is not an attractive effect.

The features are set at fixed static height 200 pixels, which is their actual height.

You can see this weird load issue at:

I hope someone can help!  This effect does not seem to happen in Safari or Chrome.

Hi wendyweb

I don´t see the flash in my Firefox in this moment.

I have this flash in all my sites (with Safari too), but my problem is that i have a shared host (Godaddy).

This happens to me when the server has much use, in some times, especially at night.

Hi Wendy,

Like Batman I am unable to see the issue on FireFox, when I viewed your site the Features were displaying as intended. Do you have any addons active in FireFox, if so try disabling them all and then load your site again.

Thanks Danny and Batman.  I'm glad to hear you are not seeing this.  Interesting about the shared host issue.  I'm on bluehost, shared, and was wondering if I should upgrade a notch because of the size and complexity of what I'm trying to build.

Thanks, I'm happy with Bluehost and not keep to move but am inquiring about an upgrade.  I'm on the lowest level of shared service status, I think!

AH OK, well upgrading may be a good idea then.

Let us know how you get on.
