I updated WP, Pagelines, and about 7 plugins.  I haven't been on the site in a couple months so there was a lot waiting for me to update.  I do not remember what the versions were of everything before.

I also did a few updates on

which caused the features section at the bottom of the home page to spread out and the pagelines dashboard to look wierd (image attached).

Yea well that's caused when plugin authors don't or can't be bothered to read the docs.
When a plugin uses js or CSS for a page in the backend it should queue it's scripts for that page only. Lazy devs will just add it to all pages cos its easier

Thanks for that.

I was able to find on run2top.com that the features issue was being caused by "TheThe Tabs and Accordions" plugin.  Do you know of a good compatible Accordian plugin?  I use that one on lots of sites.

The Pagelines Dashboard allignment issue was caused by "WP-Click-Tracker" plugin.

I still can't find out what is going on with foothillstorm.org.  The navigation is gone.  The sidebar is centered on top of the site then the rest of the page follows in a messed up way.

Unless there are any other ideas for fixing my broken site then I'm looking at doing a complete reinstall in the morning.

I suspect that your theme changed.  Just out of curiosity, did you have a child theme active before? Like Base Theme perhaps?

Please go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and make sure the correct theme is active.  This happened to me when I deactivated the theme I had designed in.

Hi,

After reviewing your site, I can say that the issue(s) you're having are down to the following:

1. W3 Total Cache is installed and active? W3 Total Cache is only needed on high traffic websites and should only be active once your sites design has been completed.

2. There is no navigation on your site, as there is no navigation section active on your site, there is nothing in the Header area related to navigation.

3. Your sites design issue is related to your not having a any content background and instead are trying to align your site to your background image. Which is not a very good idea in my opinion as you have an alignment issue with the content on the page but this alignment issue is related to your background image and not the PageLines content area.

I recommend you add a color to your content area in Color Control and use this to instead of a black are on your background image.

Thanks for the input Danny.

The site has been up for a year now.  I uninstalled W3TC to no avail.

The navigation was handled by a mega menu plugin by Lee Chestnutt that I controlled with custom CSS.  The client requested it and it occupied the space below the branding.  It disappeared when I did the update and I haven't been able to get it to work again.

The design issue was not there this morning and is not because things were not properly aligned.  I have messed with it now but the sidebar left the sidebar area and moved to the center of the page above the content area.  The slider moved down the page and created a white background around itself.  The category section moved to where the sidebar was instead of below the slider.

I cannot use a background color (like I want to) on the content area because of the specific design requirements requested by this client.

In any case I will do a restore on the site tomorrow and this will all go away.
