Warning: Cannot modify header information

Question

Posted · Report post

Hi, I am currently reciving the following message when trying to get to wp-admin...

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent
by (output started at
/home/content/69/9830269/html/wp-content/themes/pagelines/functions.php:1)
in /home/content/69/9830269/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 876

I have checked wp-config.php for spaces, and couldn't find any. I have also looked in pagelines/functions.php and there were no spaces there either. I have been unable to find pluggable.php so far. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Cheers.

No I havn't modified anything since it last worked. In fact i'm pretty sure I havn't modified any of the core files.

I have just renamed the pagelines theme folder, and I was able to log in under the default theme. I applied the latest wordpress update and then changed the folder name back to pagelines. I was then able to log in and activate the pagelines theme and update it to the latest version and that seem to have fixed it.

Thanks for the pointer.

Hi,

The pagelines folder is hardcoded into core files and may not be changed or renamed. This will likely cause all sorts of issues, including crashing your site. Please don't modify, rename, edit or change core files or folders.
