PlatformPro - WP 3.5 - upload issues

Question

Posted · Report post

Is anyone else having upload errors on 3.6 -

PlatformPro 1.5.3 (?)

If I update to 1.6 will that solve my upload problems?

Issues with uploads into pages or Media Library or FormidablePro.

Site has to go live on Tuesday - afraid to upgrade now - but if I do - do I upgrade the Base child theme as well or only the PlatformPro.

Am not going to switch it to Pagelines at this point - to crucial and enough issues that I can't handle at the moment with uploads to forms.

And why don't I see live chat for plus on this site - is it just on my framwork sites?

Thanks!

Hi Scoop,

Usually an Internal Server Error reflects some error in the server settings.  Since uploading the images is showing the error but still uploading the image, it could be as simple as a setting to show errors, but that's a server setting, not a PlatformPro setting.

There may be some discussion on www.wordpress.org.

It seems this isn't related to Platform Pro.  Have you looked there or googled for this issue?

the base theme hasnt changed, no css was changed.

All that changed was a couple of js files that fix the broken admin area, thats all.

Thank you - still alive - still cannot complete an upload without an error message:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, root and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Tho after the error message - refreshing the library shows the file !

Help? any ideas?

You need to use FTP. Extract the zip, and upload the files with FTP to the correct folder.

Did that - and now the PlatformPro admin section looks fine instead of showing every option it is back to normal.

BUT I am still unable to upload files or images w/o error messages and then the file appearing later - this is stopping my forms from completing (the ones that require uploaded documentation).

Found this on WP will try it in the morning:

Hi, I had the same issue, and I solved it adding: define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false ); in my wp-config.php file just before require_once(ABSPATH . 'wp-settings.php');

seemed to work for a few people - posting in here in case anyone else needs it.....

Hi,

Anything that I have found on wp.org is related to altering the .htaccess files which breaks the site and my permalinks.

Reluctant to try anything extreme now as the site is live... doesn't seem to be related to Platform Pro at all - is showing up only when 2 plugins are activated and they can't seem to find it either.

FormidablePro & WP e-commerce...... need them both!

For now have disabled all uploads via the forms - and i can manually deal with the rest...

Okay, should I leave this topic open or mark it as resolved since PlatformPro was uploaded successfully?
