I installed the free version of Platform at the end of last week and am really taken with it. However i do have a couple of problems I would like to resolve if possible so I will start with the one which is giving me the most concern.

I don't know if this is a Wordpress 3.5 or a theme issue because I have recently updated both. When I insert an image into a new post it doesn't automatically re-size to suit the theme. It posts a near full-size image but only the left hand side of it can be seen until you click on it to employ the Lightbox.

I am using WP Lightbox 2.

The displayed dimensions are coming out like this.

1,000px × 750px (scaled to 613px × 750px)

This is how the post text display reads.

<a href="http://www.wansbroughs-cruise-blog.me.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Miami-20101.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-2645" alt="Miami-2010.jpg" src="http://www.wansbroughs-cruise-blog.me.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Miami-20101.jpg" width="1000" height="750" /></a>

With my previous theme and with 3.4.2 I could post from my Blackberry and the image would automatically re-size perfectly. Now it doesn't.
Can anyone help me with this?

I have had to edit all the previous posted images so they work but would love to make it work like it used to.

The whole media section had a huge overhaul for wordpress 3.5.

If you think you have found a bug posting from blackberry try it in the default wordpress theme and if the issue is still there then you should post a bug here: http://core.trac.wordpress.org/

Neither PageLines Framework or the Platform Pro series add, remove or change uploaded file sizes.

Thanks Simon, I have a strong suspicion it could be a Wordpress issue but having just changed both I wasn't sure.

BTW, its not just images posted from Blackberry. Its also images posted from my PC as well. Not such a problem when you are sat at a PC because you can edit the post before you post it.

Its not a case of changing the file size, its purely down to how it is displayed. Most of my more recent images are 1,000px × 750px and automatically resized to around 600px × 450px. For some reason it is scaled to 613px × 750px giving a distorted image. It looks very much like it is resizing the width but not the height.

Hi there, this definetly seems to be a wordpress issue, lots of people seem to be having the same kind of problem on the wordpress forums.

I have just changed the theme to Pagelines Lite and it works a treat on that theme.

In that case, I'd suggest updating to PageLines Framework (the paid version) and experience all the added capacity Framework provides.
