To locate the correct hook, use the ActionMap plugin - http://support.pagel...ins/action-map/

Hello! Guys,

I would like to change the classic main menu for another customized menu only in 7 specific pages, i've already created the other menu using the option appearance > menu. I've tried to use the drag & drop templates to customize this but, couldn't figure it out a way of doing this.

Googling a bit i've found this

 Thanks!

Hi,

I apologise but I am not sure what you're trying to achieve, would it be possible to go into greater detail please.

Hi! Catrina,

I don't want to customize the style in this case. I want to make a menu with different options for a specific page.

 Like:

Home page Menu with options -> home and contact

and another this specific page with a different options inside the menu, like -> Service, sitemap.

thanks!

Hi there,

There's four options built into the framework to assign different navs to a menu area, but nothing that will allow you to set two different navs to one area depending on location. I've had a look around and there's no plugins which can assist either, so it looks like using a hook is the most likely option.

Otherwise you'd have to use another nav container, like classic nav and style it to match the other nav as closely as possible. Then choose to hide one or the other on a per page basis using the meta options.

The only thing you could try is using css to hide the menu items you don't want on a per page basis by setting them to display:none using the .page-id-x prefix to your css.

Hi! James,

 Thanks for you explanation.

For what i need, the better is using the same type of menu as the navbar and use the hook. Now i need to find what hook correspond to the navbar in order to create a extra code to do this.

Do you know what is the right hook i could use to change the navbar options?

If it is too difficult, then i will hide the primary navbar(Nav classic) using the drag & drop and use de Navbar as default.

thanks!
