Question

So. I have a text widget in the primary sidebar which is place in SB1 (sidebar 1).

I want to move it to the right and give it a lot of breathing room between the main column and SB2.

This is a mockup of what I am attempting to achieve: http://imgur.com/vSqdi  (fig 1)

This is the specific problem: http://imgur.com/UQH8K  (fig 2)

As you can see, the text, which will eventually be built to resemble the "Cheat Sheet" in figure 1, must be moved to the right.

Do I work with the padding and margins in

#1 The text widget itself

#2 The sidebar widget, or

#3 SB!

Thank you.

Hi Suzy.

It is best to format the text widget. Editing the Sidebar widget will cause all similar elements to be affected by the formatting. If you add padding to the sidebar, it is applied to anything you add to the sidebar. If you add it to the widget, then it affects only that widget.

Well, I formatted the text widget by adding a ridiculous amount of padding to it. Now I can't get a border around the text where I want it; instead, it goes all the way out to the edge of the padding.

This is why I wanted to look at using the grid. It seems that I have almost no control over the sidebar.

But I'm still here, trying.

So, let me get this right *BTW, as you know, the documentation is disorganized, loaded w broken/inaccesible links, and severely lacking in content. THAT'S WHY I'M HERE, and that's why I go onto the LiveChat.

The Pagelines grid is a 12, and not a 16, is that right?

The PageLines Documentation can be found here - http://support.pagelines.me/docs/

Which broken links are you referring to ?
