Adding Padding Between All Section Containers

Question

Posted · Report post

Hello Again,

I'm sure this is one of those " I hate newb" questions - but how can I add say 10px padding between all section containers?
I narrowed it down to

.section .container

padding-bottom via chrome, but applying what I think should be applied in the Custom Code does nothing at all.

I have (purposefully) applied a border around each container

.texture {
border: 1px solid #dddddd;
-webkit-border-radius: 5px;
-moz-border-radius: 5px;
border-radius: 5px;
padding-top: 10px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
}[/xml]

and now want 10px between the borders.

TIA

CRaSH

Right. As I pointed out, your CSS has no margins set.  A margin will be outside the border, thus it will separate the boxed, bordered sections by 10px each, effectively creating a 20px gap between the two. If you need the total gap to be 10px, make it

margin:5px;

If you want to get more specific, you can do

margin-bottom:10px;

See the image I did.

Add to your code:

margin:10px;

That should do it.

Hello Rob,

perhaps I didn't explain myself very well. I've attached an image of what I currently have and what I want to achieve.

Thanks
