To have better control over which widgets in a sidebar, you'll need to use Widget Logic: http://wordpress.org...s/widget-logic/

Hi there.

I assumed that if i clicked on template 2 and edited the items in the sidebar:

primary sidebar

secondary sidebar

etc

and then went to template 3 and removed say primary sidebar that it would still remain as i set it in template 2, but it seems it does not.

Is this a bug?

I want certain templates to display certain elements in a sidebar - how do i do that across different templates?

Thanks.

Thanks catrina.

I added it and have managed to see that if i do this "!is_page( 190 )" it will show on all pages except that or....

"is_page( 190 )" and it will only show on that page.

BUT, when it doesn't show, then i get all manner of other elements in that sidebar like categories, archives, calendar, meta...

All of which are not specified in any sidebar in the widgets.

How do i resolve that?

thanks.

Thats because if the sidebar is empty it shows default sidebar contents, there is an option to sot show the sidebar when empty, somewhere in the settings.
