Creating Text Link In Boxes

boxes text link css customise

Best Answer cerchris , 09 December 2012 - 07:00 AM

Looks like I just solved the problem, it was my CSS - for the other 2 boxes I was saying display: none to the whole box not just the box title.

Changed this CSS:

#fbox_82, #fbox_84, #fbox_87 .fboxtitle {
    display:none;}

To this:

#fbox_82 .fboxtitle, #fbox_84 .fboxtitle, #fbox_87 .fboxtitle {
    display:none;}

On this page I am trying to insert a "readmore" link into each of the 3 boxes. I have one in the first box but in other 2 the text link doesn't appear. When I hover over them with the firebug cursor the other 2 boxes don't register as if they aren't there. Any ideas on what I have done wrong? the css for the boxes maybe a bit of a mess at this point?

many thanks

Hi there,

How are you inserting the links? I can see the one in the first box, nothing in the second/third as you say. Have they been entered int the same manner? Do you have any caching plugins active which could be masking the changes to the boxes?

The code currently in box one is

The only plugin I have going is launchpage, and yes all boxes are done in the same manner

I notice that when I look at the page while logged in the only box that displays the link: (edit), is the left hand box, the other 2 are blank. What could that mean? if is an if the other 2 boxes don't exsist on the page display
