Question

Boy am I in trouble

I have searched for the solutions and found some which unfortunately confuse me more. I am no techie guy and would therefore appreciate very much if someone can help me to find a way to translate to Icelandic language the "continue reading" "admin" "comments" "Read full article" etc.

Is this a very difficult process or perhaps not possible? Please explain like explaining to a child..........a Iceland child

Hi,

As far as I am aware the "Comments" link is generated by WordPress, try looking in comments.php. The "Continue Reading/Read Full Article"is in the Blog and Post settings.

You can also login to the PageLines Translation Center, in the top right of the link below, simply use your PageLines account username and password.

Hi Danny

Yeah, found out about the comments linke and continue reading link. Still have the problem with sidebar "Categories" Recent posts" "Archives" and such. Perhaps I have to dig into the wordpress php for this?

Not sure what I shall do at the translation center as there is no category for Icelandic?

The Categories, Recent Posts and Archives etc.. are Wordpress default widgets.

If you read the Wordpress Codex article, it should assist you.

Regarding the Icelandic Language, contact our helpdesk and they will add the language for you.

Hi there I've just seen your other request to add icelandic to the translation center. I've passed thisrequest over for you.

Have you seen our post about the translation center? There's a really good explanation on how it works, take a look here http://www.pagelines.com/translation-localization-center/ and let us know if you'd like us to explain further. :-)

WordPress and PageLines use .po and .mo files to display language (all language... the text of the system).

This is an editor tool that is used to edit those files. http://www.poedit.net/

Here are the instructions needed to implement the change: http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/How_to_Change_a_Text_String_With_POedit

The language is up to you.

Some folks convert their content with WPML http://wpml.org/

I have tried the POedit method three times without any results. I would want to hang on to the WPLM way and see what happens as soon as i have access to the translation center for Icelandic language. So, not resolved, still stuck.
