client is complaining that when he prints the home page, when he comes back to the web page the feature is stretched out vertically. Resizing the browser even slightly causes it to snap back into place, but why is it sticking after it's printed?

I've not heard of this before, do you have a link to the site we can look at?

cordek.wdhdesign.com (development site). the mission was to duplicate as nearly as possible the parent company site, cordek.com, which was developed in mura. I've confirmed that this happens even when you print the home page to .pdf.

I'm not sure why this is happening. Have you tried in this different browsers? Try clearing your browser cache and see if the feature continues to behave that way.

doesn't happen in safari, but it does in chrome. I restarted the computer and browser, cleared cache, still happens.

I saw the effect in Chrome, but not in FF. Holding the Shift key and refreshing cleared it and restored the image to normal. I suspect there's some error in CSS.

I'd recommend running your custom styling code through

i ran the home page through the validator suggested above and it returned 559 errors in the compiled code, but nothing in my custom styling code.

The only possible options I can think of:
1. A deprecated plugin is causing the problem, or one with a browser conflict (I would imagine it's one that deals with printing)
2. A bad installation of WP, PageLines Framework, or something else.
3. An error in a hook, some added code or in a widget.

Are there any plugins you did not find via our Store?

Did you see any errors or have any difficulty trying to install anything?

Did you write any hooks, add any custom code other than the CSS you validated?

it's really a very simple, straightforward site.
  • minimal custom css, all validated
  • no hooks
  • only plugins that i'm using are cforms and pageline sections
  • everything installed flawlessly - i've developed dozens of wp sites on this server and never have an issue. this is the first pagelines site i've developed, but i've not run into any errors or problems along the way. as i said - it's a simple install, nothing exotic that i can think of at all.

Hi,

You're using negative margins in your layout, using negative margins is most certainly the cause of the issue. I recommend you try to use alternative CSS to create your design.

Such as position or floats etc...
