Wish I could link the site so you can check it out, but we aren't publishing the site yet. I have just a basic vimeo embed of a video in one of the Feature Sliders that is the correct size in Chrome, but very small in Firefox. Any ideas?

Side thought: Is it possible the Vimeo Pagelines Plugin would solve this?

Hi, Can you install a free application called Jing and record a screencast showing us this issue please. Also what version of FireFox are you using and on which OS? The Vimeo embed is a third party section and therefore, you will need to the contact the developer for this information.

What is the embed code you're using?

What happens when you adjust the width or height in the code?

I've seen the issue multiple times before. Another moderator pointed out that the slide height would need to be adjusted (this was a fix for the YouTube embed code, however).

Hi, first, you're using iframe code. Use the Old Embed Code and paste it into the HTML area not the Media or Background area.

This is the type of code you should be using:

Still haven't been able to resolve this. The above code from Rob seems to be for YouTube videos. I'm unable to make it work for Vimeo.
Here is the Vimeo code I've been using...

When you go to a video in VIMEO, click the Share button, on the right.
A window will open where you normally get the iframe code.
At the bottom right, you will find "+ Custom embed options". Click that.
Set the size you want.
Below, you'll see several options, select among those to your desires.
Below those, you'll see "Use old embed code".
Scroll up to where you normally found the iframe code and you'll see the old embed code with a note that it's no longer supported. Copy everything from <object onwards.
Paste it according to the instructions previously provided.

Let us know if this works.

I'm having the same problem on my web site

I tried using the old embed code and although the video is larger it still has formatting issues and isn't the full size of the available frame no matter how big I set the height and width.

Any other ideas? Or could someone at Pagelines look at fixing this so we can embed Vimeo videos in the features.

A screenshot is attached.

Thanks!

@nwrafting Can you please post a new topic for your issue? Just to avoid confusion regarding your issue and the original poster's issue. Thanks!

... I have the very same problem but it's not limited to VImeo.  When using Chrome the first video in a feature set is about 75% the height it should be but once it moves to the next video it's all fine.  I have six feature sets on six different pages with a mix of embedded code sources (Vimeo, YouTube and Fora) and they all do the same thing.

Even without this specific issue, I have the same problem detailed above when I view any of the feature set pages in FIrefox, Opera or IE9.

I have tried numerous solutions involving using inline parameters like 'height', 'vspace', 'marginheight', 'frameborder' etc. and have tried all of them using inline style as well with no luck at all.

Please advise.

Thanks.

P.S. I'm working on a locally installed web server and database.

Hi Hank, if you could post this into a new thread for us so we can keep all responses for each user in the same post :-)

Please let us know in the new post if you're using <object>.. embeds or <Iframe> embed codes

Does anyone else (other than the ones who had to post new topics for their issues) need further help in this thread?

I have the same problem, and i change for the old code

<object width="500" height="281"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="" /><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="500" height="281"></embed></object>

and it solve my first problem but now when i press the play video redirects me to another video that i have in vimeo, but takes me out of my web page, do you know why this is happening?
